GS1 France uses all the potential of communication offered by CodeOnLine for its own purposes. From now on, each GS1 France members owns an electronic business card. Indeed, GS1 France contact information (phone number, web site, news, projects) can be obtained on your mobile phone, simply by scanning the barcode printed on the traditional business card. With CodeOnLine, be aware of your contact details, news and projects … always up-to-date.
Auchan uses CodeOnLine in its annual report
To ease the reading of annual report and support its communication, Auchan get access to videos explaining the strategy and the vision of Auchan regarding sustainability, partnerships, foot print reduction, etc. All the videos can be displayed on the mobile by scanning GS1 DataMatrix with CodeOnLine application.
Carrefour pilots 2D barcode on mobile phonesIn its 2010 January brochure dedicated to high tech products and distributed at national level, Carrefour provided extending information on mobile phones via 2D barcode. Based on GS1 DataMatrix and GS1 CodeOnLine mobile service, this initiative is a powerful signal to the mobile ecosystem towards an extension of mobile services in retail. CodeOnLine : selected in a request for proposalAnother significant vote of confidence given to GS1 as a trusted third party supplier is that CodeOnLine has been selected in a RFP (request for proposal) submitted by the French authority of Internet usage, who is seeking to build a technical infrastructure. Marché Franprix supermarket chain selects CodeOnLine for the 2009 Foire aux Vins (Wine Fair)Held from 10 to 20 September in 700 stores, the Foire aux Vins is a yearly promotional event that invites customers to discover organic wines, the products of independent young winegrowers and, of course, classic wines (prize-winning wines, vintage Bordeaux wines, etc.). This year, the « Marché Franprix » supermarket chain put the emphasis on modernity and accessibility by helping customers choose their wine in store thanks to an exclusive mobile technological innovation! By taking a photo of the barcode on bottles displayed as part of the Foire aux Vins, consumers were able to access extra information, including a description of the wine, foods to serve with the wine, the ideal serving temperature, awards or medals, a “word from the producer”, notes provided by the retailer, and excerpts from professional guides.
